This place suits me perfectly, offering free Wi-Fi, laundry, and a bar/lounge area. I fondly remember how the staff assisted my elderly parents during our first stay. Highly recommend for a cozy stay! I'll be back for Christmas.

The management and staff were exceptionally friendly and very helpful. The room was excellent, very clean and comfortable. When illness occurred they had an ambulance there in record time and were very attentive to our needs.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful pub connected to the hotel. Comfortable room.
A bit noisy overhead as the floors creak quite a bit (we were in room 20). But once the guest settled down up there, things got quiet.

Everything is GREAT here, had a great stay for our business trip. Its location is stunning, adjacent to the harbor, the cathedral and the shopping in the town center, the waterfront and the cathedral.

king size bed. Very helpful staff that arranged for our early breakfast (prior to regular start of breakfast service) so we could catch ferry. Enjoyed Kirkwall and its twisting and turning narrow streets to St. Magnus Cathedral.
Right on the harbor. Least attractive view from hotel window.

Comfortable large room, recently refurbished, nice ensuite, large comfortable bed, great view of Kirkwall Harbour from room. Lovely dining room with efficient waiting staff and very good food with plenty of choice. Friendly, attentive staff. The hotel is in a good location for the ferries to the islands and is a good base for exploring Orkney. Ample free parking outside.
There was no chocolate sweet on the menu - just a small thing ha ha.
